The Art of the Seine. These images have been completed over a period of ten seasons aboard various Purse Seine vessels out of South East Alaska and the Puget sound. Purse Seining is a method of fishing, scooping a net using a skiff and four men on deck piling the net as it comes aboard. A few of these photographs have been published in the National Fisherman Magazine and the Pacific Fisherman Magazine. They are part of a large body of work which is still being crafted to document the fishing industry and the society who pursues this ancient way of life.
